    Our egos must be suppressed, because as long as they remain strong, we will never be united. In fact, my younger sister has been married to my friend (an Irish Canadian) for 32 years now, while my older sister has been married to a Canadian for 34 years. They have clear cultural differences, but all of that can be overcome with good and open communication. So, if it seems impossible, it's because of a high ego and selfishness, arrogance, and stubbornness. If you already think that differences cannot be narrowed through communication, it means you don't want to change. And if you really feel that the magnitude of the differences cannot be changed, why continue the relationship? Why is training important in many companies? One reason is because it changes people's mindsets to align with the company's vision and mission. This is from my experience.
